Dexter - review of this series
Dexter is one of my favorite series. Why?Because I stay hours and hours to see what's will happen.Want a short resume of this series?
To keep Dexter from killing innocent people, Harry begins teaching Dexter "The Code". In this code, Dexter's victims must be killers themselves who have killed someone without justifiable cause and will likely do so again. And Dexter is someone who, in his little corner of it, is taking control.Dexter has followed The Code religiously to satisfy his "Dark Passenger" (the name he has assigned to his urge to kill).
In the first episode alone, Dexter (played by Michael C. Hall of "Six Feet Under" fame) carves up two people in his signature way. Each time, he straps his victim naked to a table with layers of immobilizing Saran wrap. Then he slices open a cheek with a knife for the blood he will put on a slide he will store, with many other such treasures, concealed behind an air-conditioner grate.
Andrew Conley said the show inspired him to strangle his 10-year-old brother.Either way, the grotesqueries of "Dexter" are not something that can easily be dismissed with the old "you don't have to watch" line. We don't have to watch. We do have to live among the viewers who will be desensitized, or aroused, by this show.
